In all the replies to this post there is not one that says that i have offended anybody, all have backed me in what i have said and more to the point a lot more have subscribed which was the original idea!!! to bring to peoples attention to the facts!! i fully understand that it is a free site with no joining/membership fees but NO where in this thread have i pressurized anyone to pay ,i just expressed my disappointment that so little people had thought it necessary to contribute to help keep this in my opinion excellent site alive!!!! and yes before someone puts a reply stating that the site will be here whether you subscribe or not that maybe so but me for one would like to do my bit......................

mate i agree but if you go back to the start of the thread i said this was my personal opinion and just wanted to bring to everyones attention the situation !!! no where in anything that i have written have i said that people have to pay but like the tin shakers in the street unless its brought to everyones attention most people just ignore it and if enough do that then i have to say it but there will be no more " old skool ford " and none of us would want that!!!!

i hate to state the obvious but how many of those 6 odd thousand are regular visitors to the site. id say there's a die hard 200 or so people and the rest are either just unused/second accounts and rare visitors i also agree with vista, if i wasn't a regular user i would have definitely taken offence at this thread. as much as i would like to contribute at the min im poor as fook and £12 is food for a few days, both me and me misus are at college/uni and only work part time and still have to run a flat and pay bills etc. don't get me wrong i will defo pay my way when funds allow i just think its wrong to put pressure on any individuals because they haven't straight away. £12 is great for what you get here, but bare in mind it was originally intended that it was optional/non-compulsory 'contribution' rick if some people find this thread offensive then they need to stop being so sensitive, i personally was disgusted when this information was disclosed to me so i personally decided to start this thread!!! i sat up this morning and having nothing else planned (bloody weather) so i randomly looked at regular posters profiles and and lets just say its not just the silent members that haven't contributed!! this sight is probably the best site on the web for advice/information for any problems with your old skool ford,and i would bet my life on it that even the silent members have used information from here in one way or another cos that is what the "old skool family " is all about ,like minded people helping each other out !!! and i don't think it unreasonable for people to help keep it going and lets face it £12.00 a year would not be missed!!!!! and there is the option for weekly/monthly payments too .....

during a conversation with posse and o.h.c. today it was mentioned that only............. 60 people out of 6775 members have contributed to the site..... i cant believe that so few people don't have £12.00 spare per year to help keep this site going and all its relevant activities!!! come on guys its £1.00 a month , or if you like 0.032 pence a day]!!! so come and don't be so tight and do your bit because lets face it there really are not a lot of places on the net were we can all get together and talk old skool without the saxo/nova flip paint brigade putting there worthless two pence worth in!!!! up till now the site running costs have been paid personally by darren(posse) but since its conception the site has grown so big so fast it now costs him over £150 a month just to have the site hosted , the advertising banners have helped but i think its about time we all acted like the family we claim to be and help out!!! there are big plans for the site and all its members and they will only ever come true if the site still exists and without your help this may not always be the case!! so come on lets keep it old skool and all help this site go from strength to strength !!!!
