Near Newport south Wales Price I've no idea let's say £800 but I can't find any others for sale to get an idea I'm'clearing my storage out due to my upcoming emigration and have these parts to sell, I've had them over 20 years and probably never going to get around to using them RS2000 sump (no pickup pipe) RS2000 alloy bellhousing ( with clutch fork) RS2000 engine mounts Ive looked online and can only find a LHD sump for sale for £275 , I know they make repo parts but these are obviously genuine , what are they worth, I have one guy interested ( saw his wanted ad ) but I haven't talked a price with him yet . I'm in the process of trying to document all the old Fords from my past into a blog. I'll post a link here when it's finished but I thought I'd share a few of the 30+ I've owned over the last 31 years. My first love is Capris but I've owned both Escorts and Cortinas, vans, track cars, low mileage granny spec to bodged V8 projects.,,I have owned just about every thing from the RWD ford stable that was available in Australia from about 69-82 and a few later ones. Now I'm living back in the UK, I'm reducing my fleet (which was upto 8 cars at one stage) to 2 classics and a daily. Here a few of them....starting with one I only owned for a few months. This mk1 Escort will be known to the Australian members. Built by a group of guys from the RSOC in Victoria, I bought it as a shell with hopes of housing a hot pinto I just happened to have lying around. Unfortunately, running a small business (as I did at the time) involves paying taxes to the government (apparently) so when my tax bill came up this particular year this poor Escort drew the short straw. The car was sold back to an RSOC member who did return it to the track but sadly the car was involved in a terminal accident. Fortunately a roll cage I sourced for the car was employed and the driver walked away shaken but not stirred.

I have for sale, a full set of Roll top Mk 1 RS seat covers as shown in the pictures. They are cloth and vinyl mix as per the original covers but are not from Betacloth. They are in good condition and are 12 to 13 years old with no rips or tears. I replaced them with Betacloth reproduction ones as I had to take the covers off anyway to repair the foam in some places and replace the base webbing straps. The pictures below are before they were removed, I can take more pics of the covers loose if required. Headrest covers and seat buttons are included. Price: £250 + postage (at cost) or you can collect from Cornwall.

For sale - RS2000 / Mexico mk2 Instruments / gauges and binnacle. These were bought as a spare to replace one of my gauges that was apparently faulty - it wasn't - Ho Hum! As far as I am aware, everything works ie. fuel and coolant move full scale, trips reset but no way of knowing if speedo / Tacho work, The foils are pretty bad condition but as i've got new ones from Australia, there are a pair of not so bad ones and a spare voltage regulator included as well. I really don't know how to price these but think I'd haggle around the £175 mark? Postage will be additional or can collect (cash on Collection) from Blackwater, Nr Camberley Surrey. Well I bought another car. I finally own a Mk1 Escort. It is a 1972 MK1 XL 4 door. I purchased it site unseen on Gumtree and flew from Brisbane to Newcastle (Australia) and made the 10 hour journey home in the new purchase. Luckily the car was as described and apart from a very slow leak in a rear Tyre and a wheel bearing with a bit of a rumble by the 8th hour it didn't miss a beat! The car is a 4 door which some people aren't a fan of, but personally I am pretty happy with the purchase. It is basically rust free (Few bubbles from poor paint prep in the rain channels and a 5c piece sized bubble on a rear wheel arch is about all I could find. The paint is a home job and has some runs as well as a weird sort of reaction on the passenger side front door where there might be some bog that reacted to the paint??? But it is a presentable car and will be driven hard not looked at. 2 Litre Pinto engine 4 speed single rail box Lowered 2 inches on HD front springs and blocks in the rear MK2 2L front brakes AutoTechnica Bucket seats which are Mod Plated (These will be going promptly to be replaced by the cobra low backs from my Cortina) 2 Piece Roh 16" wheels (These have already been removed and replaced by the Superlites from my Cortina) The plan is to swap the 45 DCOE's from my Mk2 Cortina and then the Cortina will be for sale (Feel free to make an offer however I am in Australia), Re-make the alloy dash panels which are pretty rough, matching switch gear, put the cobra bucket seats in, fit Speedhut GPS speedo and quad gauge into the stock 2 dial dash, re-locate oil and gen warning lights to the switch panel in big LED's, Paint bumpers black (The qtr bumpers are glass so Chrome is out), De-chrome the wheel arches, fit a bigger more practical steering wheel that allows me to see how fast I am travelling, replace the cheesy led indicators on the front with some stock ones, Convert to round headlights and then pretty much drive the wheels off it! Oh and I also swapped the stereo from the Cortina into it which sounds much better. Anyway here are a few pics. Some from the advertisement. I took this one just before we jumped in it for the drive home I am quite bad at remembering to take photos but here are a couple when I got it home. Hi, I have just bought a rolling shell, log book states its a ford escort salon with 1993cc but when I type in the reg plate for insurance it always comes up with a RS2000 (hoping it is ). I have paid for the history and the only change it has had is the colour from red to yellow, no engine change. can anyone help de004e0459@blueyonder.co.uk, thanks debs x
