escysean Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Hi, I have number plates for mk1 Escort that I am selling but lost the log book years ago, how do I find out their history check from DVLA? Thanks Sean

flyingbanana Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 when i got my lorry lience it said on the form you had to pay £19....i got told via some one else that all i needed to do is send it with no £ and it worked ....dont know how tho ....i wonder if its the same with the log book
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 I doubt it mate, they are just screwing us because we want/have to be legal. As you know, I am £80 lighter today due to one of the DVLA's cock up's. BTW, if you don't live to far from your local DVLA office, I would suggest you go there to sort any paperwork out. You will be face to face with a person, and you don't have to worry about the DVLA's magic postal system. It hasn't been the first time I have sent a log book back to them, only to be told they never received it. Them - "Sorry Mr. Lawler, it isn't our problem, you can't have sent it" Me - "Erm, yes, I have thank you, are you calling me a liar?" Them - "Well, we havn't recieved anything, so, get your credit card out so we can Zorro it for another £19" Is it any wonder why they have lost their Charter Mark??? ******* Useless. Either that, or send everything recorded delivery and photocopy EVERYTHING
