A Zetec conversion would be a lot easier so stick with that

i'd go for a merlin engine,extend the bonnet and boot over it. can't look any worse.

I'd go for rubber band drive from a Daf, then connect that up to a Princess engine, can't go wrong

Yep, the variomatic drive, and vee belts from a Daf were bullet proof. My dad had 2. Still rememeber the reg of the second one PCP2K

i dont think the car needs to be improved in anyway,me and my darling wife go on holiday to eastbourne twice a year with no problems.and we have people waving at us as they overtake

Buy a 16v astra and use the engine + box from that as it's front wheel drive , cheap , strong and faster than a zetec
