Twinkle Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 just had someone retract their bid on the twin cam engine with less than 2 hours to go out of spite because they got outbid! has reduced my total bu £50! reason they have given is that they entered the wrong bid amount! took him fookin 3 days to realise it have reported the twat to ebay as it wont let me contact him, wouldnt of cost him anything to have left it there the guy has over 600 feedbacks and was good to, ebay have said they will look into it in the next 24-48 hours

Twinkle Posted April 1, 2007 Author Report Posted April 1, 2007 i didnt think you could retarct a bid without permission from the seller? thats what i thought but obviously not was up to £1900 but because this guy retracted its fallen to £1850 but why would you do that? it doesnt cost him anything to leave it there he has 100% feednack on over 600 deals!! will get my own back when the twat lists stuff
X-pack-Glyn Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Maybe the two of em were working together as a team, this happens more and more, the object is to get the bids up then sometimes a team of 4 or more will retract fake bids thus leaving one of the team a genuine low bid, the continued high bids put off potential genuine bidders. all of ebay is a scam, il only sell on it as a last resort. the only items ive brought on it has been buy it now stuff.

Twinkle Posted April 1, 2007 Author Report Posted April 1, 2007 ebay never makes sense to me, i put a pair of doorcards on the other day, was about to throw them in the skip an thought i would chuck them on ebay might make a fiver they went to £86 i have some land rover stuff on there at the moment as well as dry sump, oil cooler etc and one of the books is at £12 when i paid 50p at a boot fair
