Messenjah Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 ok guys ive go ta day off so im feeling a trip to burton power as ive never been and i want some bits, but i cant decided wether to drop it an inch or two inches .... its my daily driver ... will i still clear speedbumps with a 2 inch drop ??
RedditchJay Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 mmmm I know MK1 escorts struggle when dropped 2 inch all round
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Hi mate, my old one was lowered 2 inches, and it just cleared. Obviously I had to slow right down, and on some, I did scrape the exhaust, but the majority were fine. One other thing to think about, do you often carry a few passengers??? If so, you wont make it over most bumps. 1 inch is noticable, if you want an idea of the height, all 2.8i's were an inch lower from factory than the other models. My one is standard, and has had a scrape or 2 on certain bumps, but I am putting that down to the Cologne V6 up front which incidentally weighs about as much as a small country mansion Click on my garage to see how my one sits
Gareth Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Dude, my Ghia's dropped 11/2" at the back and it catches on my drive, and on those annoyingly sharp small speed bumps that u cant help but go slow over
