Heyoop. Can anyone tell me what the purpose is to the RS alloy alternator bracket over the sierra one? Is longer to move the alternator away from the servo tower?? and does anyone know if you can use the sierra one instead if not running a servo?? Has anyone not used the RS one in their mk1 escort???

Cheer, a quick answer is needed though!!! Sam. :)

i was after one of these, apparently they lower the alternator(more than a standard bracket) and are ideal on cossie conversions so the boost pipes dont touch the alternator

i got a steel alternator / power steering pump bracket off a late model sierra then cut off what i didnt need as the ally one was letting me get the alternator under the tower

ive got a sierra bracket AND a servo. It is pretty close though.

I think the alloy RS ones lower the alternator to increase clearance.
