At the end of the Pod road, I turned right and joined the A6 into Bedford, then the A600 through Shefford, then A507 to the A1M at J10 all the way through to the Hatfield Tunnel then cut across via the A414/A405 and rejoin the M25 at J21A at the bottom of the M1

I followed Pip that way last year, good route.

 

I too hate the M1
