topi Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Please resist burning me, but I have an Opel Kadett C (XE hehe) that's in need of some wider arches (I'm using a Manta axel which is alot wider). I've been trying something for the car, but theres only big nasty Chevette arches so far, so I've been looking at MK2 Escort stuff. Could anyone get me some rough measurements, such as the width at the widest point, and maybe the height? Finally, where can I get CHEAP arches from?
topi Posted April 25, 2007 Author Report Posted April 25, 2007 Cool, don't suppose you have a contact for him?
topi Posted April 25, 2007 Author Report Posted April 25, 2007 Cheers P.S I found this picture in an old issure of Retro Ford I want arches like those! Any idea where they come from?
jpayne Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Didn't the article describe them as modified trailer arches. My guess would be a trailer parts supplier and them get the fibreglass out. Good luck!

topi Posted April 25, 2007 Author Report Posted April 25, 2007 Screw it, I just ordered 1 of the steel arches meant for 13", as they kind of measure up with what I had in mind, and 1 of them is plenty wide enough to do both rear arches Best idea of the day to jpayne
jpayne Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Yeah, heres to me. Good luck with the work, keep the photos of progress coming. Always good to see new ideas tried and tested. JP
