Unfortunately the retro turn out was a mini,mini metro and Vw Socorro so we decided to drive to a pub know to cortinaman the white hart in Pulborough,west sussex

 

 

small but good car park great food and garden area by the river

 

 

and a few old skool fords turned up sorry guys didnt get your names sweet mk2 tina & mk1 escort on the road during a resto

yes the drive home was fun when I got stuck behing the landy and the sunday drivers a matt black missile done us all

 

mrs ratman said go on then so I had to take 3 at once

had my ass wooped by a matt black box and rosted my Co-pilot for being slow

Nice to meet some more fellow OSF'ers! It took me three hours to drive there coz I was taking the scenic route through the posh villages and whatnot. Some nice cars and ppl. Good to meet BillC, Jim McInven as well as Mr and Mrs Ratman, Cortinaman and that short fella with the black anglebox

Yeah. Top day out, and lovely pub (never actually made it to Toat's cafe so missed the metro ).

Thanks for turning up guys, sorry about our showing. To be honest I was pretty pissed off myself it wasn't exactly a good advert for future meets.

 

Anyway enough about the Metro, you're lucky I didn't turn up in a Prius! But as I said, I should have my 16v Viva back on the road in a couple of months to give your OSF's a kicking...

Sorry- wasn't having a dig (much!) I too had a metro as a daily driver, and at my first (and only) time at the pod I was beaten by a GTa on my bet run!!!!

 

I had a really good day as it was. Let us know when the next one is and I'll try and get there, maybe even on time as well....
