speed camera

while driving into london this morning down the a1....im waiting in the long queue and there is a speed camera which was on the central duel carriage way....in 5 mins i saw it flash at least 20 times.........now i wonder how much they make of these cameras everyday .......or i wonder if it decided to flash for no reason..........london has them nearly every major juction,in fact nearly every where they think they can get some one........i was told they are going to reduce the amount they are aloud on the roads...any one knows if this is true

I dread to think mate, but its got to be absoulutly huge amounts of £££, makes my blood boil!
