I don't know about self harming, but in all honesty I used to think that depression was a mind thing that people did for attention

But after getting is myself a few years back (and believe me I am usually a very strong minded person) and still getting occasional bouts now and then I can tell you it's very real and it fook you right up

 

It is some serious stuff, imagine feeling every second of the day that there is absoulutly no future or point in being here or having no energy to do anything!

They are like goths, but they cry a lot more and instead of drinking somelses blood they like to watch there own drip on the floor then cry some more. Then they cry when they cant get the blood out of the carpet, Then cry again when there mum comes home and shouts at them for getting blood on the carpet. Then they cut them selfs and cry a bit more because nobody loves them. then when they stop crying they cry again beause they have stopped crying.

i used to do some of that when i was younger (around 2000 iirc) but there wasn't a name for it back then

 

never did the self harm or anything silly like that, but i had friends who did, was usually after smoking a joint that they did stuff like that

 

it's just another fad, and a form of attention, give it a couple of years and it'll be gone
