young one's anglia????

people of a certain age will remember this well, does anyone know what happend to it ???. i know the shows back on tv again but i keep missing it..

I think you'll find it was 2 Anglias, one for each series.

 

The series 2 car was written off I think, but the series one car was sold to a young lady, who used it for a while. Unfortunately it was not in the best of condition, and this car was also scrapped.

 

The car did come on some Anglia Owners' Club events, and here's a picture of it on london to Brighton run we organised, which would probably have been 1983 or 1984.

Was that the one that they put through the living room wall? Obv not for real, I seem to remember a capri or transit and a lot of smoke in one ep, could be wrong though

I was just thinking this the other day when watching an episode of the Young ones. Comedy like it has never been written again since.

 

I looked up the numberplate on the dvla site but it wasn't recognised. Was it the real plate they used in the show though?
