no offense to you Stu but why is it that as soon as bands make it big and hit mainstream that people say they are rubbish and then move onto some more unknown bands. But then as soon as they get big they become big they become shit aswell?

i thought the whole idea of being in a band is to get your music out to as many people as possible,get as many fans as possible and make as much money as you can.

None taken! It’s nothing to do with the bands getting big, There’s thousands of bands out there that are awesome, you just have to search for them! I used to listen to Korn & slipknot, machinehead etc but if you scratch the surface of the metal scene and look a little deeper there are some far better, more original bands out there! All the bands I listen to are big bands, not underground at all, most of them with several albums and careers spanning 10 years or more!

I think it’s great that people get into metal through groups like slipknot – but don’t stop there, keep looking!!
