is the "rebuilding and tuneing fords kent crossflow engine" book any good for someone who doesnt have a clue about tuneing....

Its more rebuilding, less tuning, IMO.

As above, I have a copy and found it not a lot of use if you want to learn about extracting horsepower from an engine.

 

But a good book if you just want to rebuild an engine

Any books by David Vizard!!!

 

Really explains the art of engine tuning.

 

Tuning the "A" series (mini) engine will keep you engrossed for weeks.

(Yea I know its not Ford but the principles still apply)

i've got tuning escort and capri by david wizard, far better for 50 little page than the big tuning xflow engine.

with all the tuning advice since xflow have been done, not far better today than years ago.
