Colour change tutorial

My way of colour changing:

 

Step 1:New fill layer

 

Step 2:Reduce layer opacity

 

Step 3:Erase escess colour

 

Step 4:Change colour and opacity to your liking

I just copy the layer then delete all the bits apart from the bits you want to colour, then desaturate, then press ctrl+alt+U and adjust the colour there

although i desaturate then colour then delete the excess as you dont miss any because you can tell the difference between the two layers
