Gareth Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Went to check the oil level on my Escy yesterday after noticin an oil leak, Pulled out the dipstick and the steel guide pipe came with it. Any tips on getting it fitted tightly again without removing the sump There's a drink waitin @ cf for someone with the best solution first
minim4rt Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Ah yes mine done that. Try giving the end a slight tap on the end to oval it. Then tap gently bh in the hole.

w p e Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 get some wurth bearing lock from local car shop clean tube add the bearing lock and tap tube back in place

Jay_harrier Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 I use the red gasket paste as its unaffected by heat, oil, fuel etc & you can get the tube out at a later date without destroying/crushing it,
