atomic punk Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 Fitted my rebuilt servo in the Cortina today and took it for a spin. Brakes were absolutely brilliant for all of 5 miles before they went soft again Every component in the braking system has been replaced and double checked and triple checked twelve times so why the fook does it not work And to top it off, as I sat down I sank about 2 inches, accompanied by that horrible sound of crusty metal - that'll be a rotten seat crossmember then.... So went to work on the Escort instead couldn't get the new valance to line up at all so got pissed off with that as well. Old Fords - why do I bother???
mk14dr Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 good question, why do we bother??? I remember, because they're better than Saxos'
Super Sh1te Box Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 One of those things bjut it is all worth it, jobs never finish and something always falls off or brakes but we love it really??!! and come back to it

4parajon Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Chin up me old fruit. Everytime I get in my Capri its one of the few things that still niggles me, the lack of decent brakes, especially when I drive a modern car everyday. Which is why Ive just invested in (hopefully) a decent upgrade. The joys of classic car motoring
