martymk1 Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 bought a mk5 tina last saturday, want to use it as my everyday car, been ringing round for insurance today, wuold like to get it a decent, maybe classic insurance, but as soon as i tell them its parked on the road & i want to use as my main car, they tell me it can't be done, and quote me over £300. Can anyone help me

johnny_h Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 before calling up companies definitely try confused dot com to get your lowest quote. just fill in your details once and it searches all the popular companies and puts the quotes in order of price. i have 12 points on my licence and confused found me a quote of 550 for my mex.

If it's lower than the lowest confused quote all well and good but if not use it to barter. DO NOT go with your first quote, I guarantee someone will try to beat it no matter how low it is.
