doubleg Posted July 2, 2007 Author Report Posted July 2, 2007 Tim I'm fairly sure he will be out on the RAC again. Driver, car sounds much better in the flesh the drop in quality when uploading to youtube takes some of the edge off it.
Admin Vista Posted July 4, 2007 Admin Report Posted July 4, 2007 Looking good, action shots look great! I always have mixed feelings when I see cars on the stages though, half of me is thinking "That rocks, great to see these cars being used as they should be" the other half is thinking "Please don't damage it, panels and parts are hard enough to find without them all being trashed on the rally stages" Am I alone in being in this constant state of confusion?
doubleg Posted July 4, 2007 Author Report Posted July 4, 2007 Am I alone in being in this constant state of confusion? I don't think you neccesarily are, much as I love seeing the Escort's out I do have an element of the "god I hope he doesn't bin it" mentality. Even to the point that I am torn with what to do with one of my Mk1 shells, one side of me looks at it and thinks, good solid shell ideal basis for a rally car, other side of me thinks it's to good to be a rally car.

No such thing as too good to rally, you want the strongest nicest shell in the world to build a proper rally car, if your shell is a heap of rust to start with the first time you have an off you are going to kill the car and yourself. Dont get me wrong I love a timewarp original car, but I think there is no better sight than an escort broadside at full chat

mista weava Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 no point having a museum piece in my book. what makes the car great is the joy derived from driving it. ornaments don't do it for me - sorry.
