presleybeetrootboy Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 who can tell me wat a good first car is but...........it has to be an old skool ford none of this modern crap plzzzzzzz help me
james p Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 mk1 fiesta or any 1300 escscy (better off with 4 door save your money for insurance )
Pye Man Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 I would say mk1 Fiesta at the mo. They are pretty cheap, easy to maintain, parts are available off the shelf, etc etc. They also look pretty damn cool 2. Im sure the Mk1 Fiesta squad will back this up
mossy Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 as said above...To keep the insurance reasons down, and an engine is easily sourced and changed at a later date. Both cars are cheap and easy to work on and fairly reliable. Personally i'd go for an escort if you can afford one.
presleybeetrootboy Posted July 10, 2007 Author Report Posted July 10, 2007 cheers for all ur help but has anyone else got any ideas or can back up other people and wat was all ur first cars it ight help me out
antz Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 my first car is the escort you see in my sig. 1st year insurance was £1122 fully comp under my own name (cheaper than a fiat cinquicento!) im into my second year now and its dropped to £647 gotta be an escort

Gareth Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Anything with a small engine Escorts, Fezzas, 100E/105E's Just depends on how much you can afford and what's about at the time
razersedge Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 mk1 fiesta is the way forward u can really abuse them and they keep going and not only that but no unexpected sideways to catch u unaware as a new driver and all the other reasons every one else said and first car was a mk1 escort 2 door 1.1 and and that almost ended up in a wall or a bus stop every time it rained so i no what i'm saying but that was 14 years ago
