MightySprocket Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 well done, its a great feelin isn't mate
mk1mexico Posted July 18, 2007 Author Report Posted July 18, 2007 It will be a couple of months before i move in gives me time to get a decent deposit together. Need to sell the scooby really but not having much luck Its a 2 bedroom terrace in a row of 7 that were built around 12 months ago, has a patio rear and views to the fells. there is nothing in my town (Ulverston) around that price its all over 100 grand for ones needing work. There are far cheaper houses in Barrow in furness (which is 8 miles away and my place of work) but to be fair its a bit of a sh*thole and i want to stay where all my friends are etc.
mk1mexico Posted July 18, 2007 Author Report Posted July 18, 2007 http://www.harrisoncoward.co.uk/res_properties.asp Its the bottom one on this link. This shows number 7 which isnt included in the low cost properties. I have bought number 3 Click on the picture for a bit more info

Buy a £180,000 appartment for £90k. The council put £90k forward. When you sell, you pay it back. I'm not sure if you just pay £90k back, or £90k plus interest, or 50% of what you get for it.
mk1mexico Posted July 18, 2007 Author Report Posted July 18, 2007 Well this is 100% mine its just im only allowed to sell on at the profit its made on 80k. For example if it goes up 10% in 5 years. The true price would now be 132k or thereabouts but i can sell it for 88k.
Mrs O/H/C Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEWS OF YOUR NEW HOUSE,GOOD LUCK.
J_mk1 Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 Reading is just too expensive.... a 2 bed terrist house is about £180k down here
