an auto shifter to go on my mk2 escort and was wondering wat else i need

to make it work properly, ive just got the shifter and thats it. i have changed car to manual to auto and this is the only thing that im curious about.

any help would be appreciated

My mk2 is an auto, and having done an auto to manual in the past I would suggest you need the following:

 

- inhibitor switch for the autobox to be wired in

- Auto spec crossmember (you may need to move the gearbox mounts )

- Auto spec radiator that cools the ATF as well as the coolant

- Metal pipes that link the rad to the autobox

- Auto propshaft (shorter than the manual one

- pedal box

- Torque converter & flywheel

could u not use an aftermarket oil cooler for the box to save using/finding a proper auto rad?
