i got my mk1 escort insured on wednesday taxed it thursday night and went striaght to the manchester classic ford meet

drove it all the way to oulton park for the track day and back then when i decide to nip to post some letters the throttle cable snaps

they dont half pick the right time to break so i have just done the fastest ever throttle cable change from my 4 door to the 2 door so i can use it till i get another one

i am now going back out in it to attack some roundabouts in the rain :ykt::ykt:

The bronze Mk1? Did it come from a village just outside Exeter called Ide?

If it was I went to look at that one, my mate found it & we went & took a look

I was on my way to santa pod last year when my throttle linkage came apart where the rod clips into the carb.

Was slightly entertaining, seeing as how I was in the outside lane overtaking a line of traffic on the motorway at the time
