Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 i had to mend the straps on my daughters watch today why do they make so much cheap crap now a days its only a few weeks old and the bits where the pins fit broke so i had to drill right through from side to side and feed some good old welding wire through to hold the straps in place then bend and file the ends job done she got it for her birthday from a friend and was upset when it broke but her little face lit up when i fixed it
orionmojo Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 good man you cant bat a 'handy' dad , i had until i was 17 for my dad to fix things, namely my car .
Mrs O/H/C Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 I SYMPATHISE WITH YOU AS MY KIDS HAVE HAD SEVERAL WATCHES JUST IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS....NOTHING IS BUILT TO LAST ANYMORE.
tazrocks88 Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 nothing lasted when i was a child cos i took it apart with my maccano set but it was fun and i usually got it mostly back together bar the odd screw or nuts u always have left! it always worked again even if i ended up showing my dad him making me take it apart again and him fixing it
Fiesta Steve Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 I know where your coming from with this m8 I get severly pissed off with the quality of kids toys. They are mostly $hite. Utter rubbish. My little boy is only 4 and can fook anything up. Why do I spend good money on $hit that is gonna break in five minutes. ... Rant over !!
Fiesta Steve Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 Would you believe it. My son only broke his watch yesterday
