Anyone on here use them as a phone and broadband provider? I've signed up to them after years of customer abuse from Tiscali, and whilst the rep assured me that the handover would be seamless and they'd handle all of it, I have visions of being internetless for a while. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about Tiscali being impossible to get rid of!

I wouldn't worry about the changeover mate... they all seem to go without drama's. A mate of mine and myself are with Orange... he got so peee'd off with them, he decided to move to Tiscali. Now he is having grief with them :roll:

 

Got to be better than Tiscali mate :ykt::thumbsup:

Couldn't be worse than Tiscali, my worry is that I haven't given Tiscali notice as the Talk talk rep said I didn't need to and they'd do all of it. But Tiscali have always billed me via my debit card and I can see them continueing to do so!

 

Oh and the other Talk Talk, top choice. I liked PIL too

we're on talk talk here, and we've had no problems with it. saying that, i've never had to deal with their customer service department so couldn't say what they're like :?

the only drama i had with them was they didn't send me my welcome pack with the date of change and new passwords, but it was sorted with a phone call :thumbsup:

Well they've got off to a pretty bad start

 

Phone was dead for two days despite assurances that the switch over would take 30 minutes and would most likely happen while I was out

 

Call centre that I was assured was in England sounds very much to me like it's in India

 

Email doesn't work properly, outgoing ones seem ok, but around 60% of incoming ones get bounced with the sender being told there's no such address

 

Despite assurances that my old ISP would be informed by them and I didn't need to do a thing, Tiscali still have my account as active so will probably try and bill me, what's more they haven't responded to my request for a cancellation reference number

 

My connection speed is nothing like the 8Meg I was told it would be

it all moved to india :sad:

 

don't get me started on being moved to India BP who I work for has outsourced some of our jobs :evil::evil:

 

 

 

so when I get internet on at home don't use tiscali or talk talk

we are on plusnet, seems good, we had the 2meg account but when they upgraded the servers we got the up to 8meg upgrade for free, shame our line won't support much higher than 2 meg :sad: never had to phone them up about anything yet though :D
