Burns Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 the point is that capris were in production before 1980 Sorry mate misread your posting no problemo
shrek Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 what a load of crap, you cant say capri's were in production before 1980, yet a 87 one is old school. but a 1982 escort is not old school come on, im not calling anyones car as i like 60's,70's,80's, and some 90's fords but its either built before 1980 or not. i know i sound like im havin a go, but im not. i have a mk4 cortina (1978 so it just makes it in) and a S2 RS Turbo but im into my fords and like most of them up to mid 90's. bugger, this IS going to run and run, but it looks like im the only one sticking up for the future classic fords
Burns Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 what a load of crap, you cant say capri's were in production before 1980, yet a 87 one is old school. but a 1982 escort is not old school yes i can, look "capri's were in production before 1980, yet a 87 one is old school. but a 1982 escort is not old school" it's pretty simple really. look, this isn't meant as an insult to you, but this site was created with these cars in mind, i (for one) am here to get away from the cars later than this period, we're not saying they're shite, just that this site does not cater for them
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 production is the key word
emu Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 I cant beleive that 'old skool ford' is such a difficult concept for people to understand It not about the age of the car its about something else, not something I can think of a word for, but im sure everyone knows what I mean . A capri is oldskool,a mk1 fiesta is oldskool, a mk3 escort wasnt, isnt and never will be. Not within the scope of this site. Nip over to www.boltanotherspoileronmyfocus.con and youll find that they think a fiesta turbo is oldskool. Thats why they are posting there, not here As for bodyfiller being plastic not fantastic. It keeps my car looking close to presentable till I can afford a new front end
