jlf70 Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Hi all, I am going for 7 X 13 miniltes but I'm not sure what tyres to fit. Can I run with 185/70/13 on 7 X 13 rims without having the rear arches rolled? I would like to keep the rolling circumference similar to what I have now (185/60/13) to keep speed/revs the same but don't want to roll the arches. Any help/advice would be much appreciated
Fiesta Steve Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 If you want to keep the circumference the same use 185/60/13's !!! Changing to 70 profile will just make them taller. Not sure if they are going to fit under stander arches though.
DEP Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Is the car lowered at all mate? If it is, you will have problems with the tyres rubbing,
shortie Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 answered your own question really, stick with the 185/60's if they will go on a 7j rim, if you need to go wider just make sure you go down a profile if you can get them.
Guest MK1gaz Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Try with 185/60/13's but if they rub then just fit 175/50/13's because then it won't rub . It also depends on the wheels offset , superlites are the worst and stick 10mm further towards the arch than most of the other 7x13 inch rims availible ( rs 4 spokes , compomotive ml's etc )
