rudy 1 Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 time will tell if im just a nob m8 well at least you haven't put to much pressure on yourself to prove otherwise m8 dont we all thrive on a bit of pressure
KJ 1320 Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 m8 dont we all thrive on a bit of pressure true m8 but not unnecessary pressure
Hilux Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 m8 dont get me wrong have respect for you all but you are all beatable of course we are all beatable, we do it for fun, none of us are professional racers and none of us has unlimited budgets in fact i take great pride in getting into the thirteens at the strip for less than 2.3k which includes buying the car. if you wanna beat us then by all means join in the fun and beat us i'm sure you'll stir up some one wanting to join you at whatever time you can run. but talkin is just talkin actually doing it is a different matter also the back of andy harris's car has a sticker on the left side of the bootlid which says "NO NOS", i dont believe any of the harris cars run nos do they?
Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 19, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 19, 2006 BRING IT ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not with me though sadly
rudy 1 Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 Sounds like a hell of a lot of pub talk to me!"My car is the best, it's got a 700bhp 1300 xflow & I've only added a pancake airfilter!" It's a well known fact that HPE & HT build some of the most powerful & fastest engines available for OSFs without going down the Cosworth route! By the sound of things mate you've come on for a bit of a p*sstake & come out looking like a right c**t! You have also yet to tell us what car you drive, what sort of power it's got & who built the engine! Wonder if it's something like a Saxo? m8 dont take kindly to your chosen words so when you see me please do introduce yourself
RETRO_AL Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 bloody staight line racers get on a track with bends runs and hides for a bit
KJ 1320 Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 bloody staight line racers get on a track with bends runs and hides for a bit mine does m8

Hilux Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 mate, you say your car is nearing the end of a 2yr build, does that mean its untried and untested then? they are some big words you have been using for an untested car! 238bhp you say if i remember rightly, very impressive on paper but as has been said it depends on how its been setup, what sort of tyres you intend using, what its geared for. there are loads of different parameters that can be different but can make a massive difference to how fast the car is. cossie matts escort is also 6 linked, runs 45mm taperred throttle bodies on a n/a cossie engine which produces 265bhp if i remember that correctly, that is more than your 238bhp but on the quarter mile he can only put in a high 13 i think at best because of the way the car has been setup. although most people will have a very hard time beating his car on a short circuit! it all sounds impressive but big BHP doesn't mean everything, what is your torque figure? its more relevant to the acceleration of yer car than the BHP figure and above all can yer gearbox and axle take the constant hammering of hard launches?
Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 19, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 19, 2006 Cossie Matt's is set up for sprinting/track use so his diff set up will not be so good for 1/4 mile racing unless he's made a few changes recently.
Hilux Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 nope still setup for sprints :wink:and thats the reason he's not so quick on the 1/4 mile, but round brands short circuit....... the car put a grin on me from ear to ear, has to be the fastest car i've been in
