  1. right up your street! http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewt ... 761&page=1
  2. if you want my input don't buy a beemer, look at the cost of parts compared to the cost of parts for an old ford, and you can do most of the work yerself on a ford, beemers have alot of specialist tools and electronics. when I had old fords (haven't got one now) I always looked at other cars with envy but couldn't afford a mint one myself, so I suppose I was never happy but I did enjoy my cars. have a long hard think about the pro's and con's of any car before you commit yourself to a different one. I gave up my old fords went on to jap cars, then bikes, and I don't think I was happy with any of them, now got a 4x4 which is comfy, roomy, cheap and easy to fix and runs on used cooking oil, I think I'm happy with this one............for now.

    gone awol?

Hi peeps, Mickyd here, I still visit every now and then, I'm still interested in osf's just don't have one now, got a 4x4 now and doin some off roading, black capri was sold a few years ago, you may even still see it knocking around the pod as I know it's new owner races it. I still occasionally go on track days with cossie matt so see a few of you about. For those of you who remember smithy, hes into bikes now and has just got a new civic type R aswell. I still enjoy lookin through the pics of the cars you guys have and build, you just can't beat the old fords.
  4. glad you made it home ok dave, good to see ya again, have fun with it an i'll keep my eye out for it at the drags Micky
  5. all credit to you fella for making your own but why don't you use a datatool revlight? yes it was made for bikes, but it only has 3 wires and a programming earth very easy to fit all you need is an electronic rev counter as you need to tap into the pulse feed, at the bottom of this web page is some vids of it in use, the one i had was set up so when max revs were hit, the whole display flashed very quickly until revs dropped upon gear change. like i say, all credit to you for making one but check the vids at bottom of this page http://www.cbr929rr.com/revlight.htm
  6. happy birthday ben, hope you've recovered enough to go out and get properly wasted
  7. mate, i was shocked to read this after having no access to the site for nearly a week. glad to hear you'll be ok tho, put yer feet up, lap up the attention and get yerself better, opefully you'll be back to yer old self in no time. best wishes from mick, zena, karl, kimberley and cheyenne
  8. artic test is easier than the class 2 test as lane discipline has to be relaxed because of the room required to manouver around bends, roundabouts and juntions. and the emergency stop is more relaxed because the truck is 20ft longer which means you have an extra 20ft to stop in.
  9. as long as you can prove your the owner and its a hobby, theres not a great deal they can do about it as long as the noise made doesn't go on late at night.
  10. well done jason, i remember doing my test very well, now you just gotta learn how to turn it round in tight spaces first time i had to i said "no way will that turn round in there" until another driver showed me how to jack knife it in the back yard of sainsbury's in white chapel. it all comes with practise mate. well done

    Dear all

sounds like you know them well steve, although the car is an import it's the same engine as the uk spec celica gt4, so parts aren't an issue, and yes oh so tuneable, 220 bhp as standard as its a revision 1 car, but yes 600bhp isn't unheard of.
  12. the blokes a twat, spun it 5 times in that vid and 4 of them were into the roundabout, all whilst on a public roundabout whilst road users are trying to use it, as for driving round the wrong way i f i caught him doing that while i had my family on the roads on that roundabout, i think i'd have to kick fook outta him WAN**R

    Dear all

if anything blows i'll just bung a steel gasket in there, and yes they can be a bit awkward to get at, but thats half the challenge
