RedexRob Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Need your help guys ! I am having real trouble getting some paint mixed up to my original paint code Dragoon Red , I realise we are now in the era of two pack and cellulose may not be possible but I have a basic problem over what is listed , my paint code is CU Dragoon Red , some suppliers list a Dragon Red (not Dragoon), was this a seperate colour is this a misprint ? any help with on line colour listings/codes would be helpful , I only want to do a back door not the whole car so a good match is imperitive.. Should have got an Ermine White one I know...lol
GT_Jim Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 the best thing to do is get their colour chart and see what the differnce is. its like ford rosso red there are about 10 shades so be warned
kirk10 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 you will find that dragon and dragoon is probably the same colour you need depends what make there paint is i use lechler to mix paint my self and quit often it comes up with weird spelling probably a geman paint kit or american or so on but like gt jim said there could be a number of diferant shades of that colour so your best taking something of the car and get them to colour chart it to get the right shade

RedexRob Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 Thanks guys thats exactly what I was after , I believe good sources can also "age" a colour as well to get it spot on , at least I can go ahead with the source that is offering me Ford Dragon Red as there is no other reference to it apart from a Merc colour , I,ll let you know what the sample aerosol comes out like.
