If memory serves the inlet ports are larger on the injected head. I used one on a capri 2.0S before and it worked ok but that was a standard head. Hope that helps.

The inlet ports are indeed larger. If you fit a FR32 or Piper 285 cam (With new followers n spray bar..) you should see around a 15-20bhp increase with much improved mid range grunt.

Much more scope for porting etc too, as you can make the inlet ports fookin huge! Ron Harris always uses the injection heads to modify.

A Piper BP285 or Kent FR32 should certainly do the trick, and coupled with a nice ashley exhaust, and some twin 45's, you could be looking at about 140bhp I reckon. If you can, take off all the sharp edges, and the lumpy bits in the ports too, taking care however to avoid the valve guide, and make sure you take all the valves etc out first. This should make the air flow a bit nicer as well then.

Should get around 5 to 10 BHP from just an injection head, the port is the same size but port floor is raised and radiused better making the flow smoother onto the back of the valve (saves adding metal to shape the port better so it's basicly a stage 1 unleaded head) BUT check the code by ex port number 4 some early EFI head where NOT unleaded, the ones you want are L, P, PP, R, RR

i have a 205 efi pinto...

std bottom end and said efi head...

twin 40s, fr32cam and 1.5mm skimmed from the head, for mor compression 10.2:1. other than that its standard oh and a 421 manifold

revs 2 7000 but limited 2 6500

140bhp and 135lbft (still on points and used everyday!!)

put same head on a no 205 block and should be the same

get to it... ykt!!

ports and valves are same size but inlet has a better shape on the turn to the valve=better/more flow

my valves are std size btw
