4parajon Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 No I'm not selling it, its for my insurance. Last year I had it valued at £4k but as some of you know its now got a cossie motor in it and I'm not sure what to say. If it was an Escort it would be a lot easier I think. Sensible opinions welcomed. Here's a link for info/piccies on the cossie build http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... highlight=
Cookie Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 Can't you just add the cost of the conversion to last years valuation mate? make sure you are gonna get most of your cash back then in the event of a claim.
johnny_h Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 I was gonna reply but you only asked for sensible replys so I will just agree with what cookie said.
GJUK Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 6-7 grand? whatever you think the car is worth - add up your receipts and then add a grand for hassle. My mk1 escort wit ha standard pinto in it is valued at £5k. Although thats not what I paid for it . Jon
4parajon Posted September 6, 2007 Author Report Posted September 6, 2007 But for me the point is not to make sure I'm not out of pocket (although I appreciate what your saying) but the cost to build another one to the same spec'.
GJUK Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 But for me the point is not to make sure I'm not out of pocket I thought that was the point in agreed values. (although I appreciate what your saying) but the cost to build another one to the same spec'. Well I would insure it for the cost of a build, then add the hassle time ontop of that. (say 2k) I would still say 6-7k. Jon
