jimbo Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 placebo imho are a pile of shite no offence intended cause i like that kind of music but theres summin about them that is just rubbish! No offence taken. and hip hop and rap is only shit if u take it too seriously (nwa and public enemy) I'll just rephrase that for you. hip hop and rap is shit IMHO. wow i must have been drunk yesterday dont even remember saying that... not many fans on here then lol Hey Joe! I'm with ya buddy! J5, DJ Format, etc. are very prominent on my MP3. I know what you mean about decent Hip-Hop. Great breaks with interesting worthy lyrics is all good in my book. Though I'm not into this "fiddy" shit! I don't understand how modern rappers (and I shudder to call them that) carve out careers making records out of just bigging themselves up. then have the audacity to talk about the depth of their music....I mean it's good for maybe a song, but a whole album!! Music-wise, I am all over the shop. Other albums on my MP3 (which I guess to be a good indicator) are: Chemical Brothers Michael Jackson - Off The Wall (everything after just didn't have the same quality) The Freemasons The Cardigans Muse Dropkick Murphys Led Zeppelin (Prayin' that I get tickets) Queens of the Stone Age The Arcade Fire Kate Rusby (Yes, folk music) The Egg Prince JJ Cale The Smiths Pendulum The Orb The Faces (Rod Stewart when he was bang on the money) and some Miles Davis Basically, I can listen to and enjoy almost anything. The only big exception is shrill female operatic voices. Just unpleasant on the ear.
Daggle Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 County all the way, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Sugarland, Dixie Chicks, Keith Urban, I could go on....
