ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 What kind of price do Mk1s go for? I'm on about anything that's MOT'd. Are ebay prices too much? Can you still get bargains from the back of your local rag?
Rick Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 starting from about 500 quid i reckon for a roadworthy one. theyre gonna be fetching 4 figures in a few more years just watch!
Mr Sam Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 payed £250 for mine just over 2 years ago with a years MOT
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 Would love to get one for the wife and drop a zetec in it. Shame she doesn't like them.

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 What about a Pinto? They're supposed to be good engines...
davreeve Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Bargains can still be had but as already mentioned you are looking at around 500+for something with some life left in it. As for the zetec DO IT!
bronze4door Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 my ex has one they paid £150 18 months ago with tax and test i told them if they did not buy it i would of
Mick The Cabbie Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 What about a Pinto? They're supposed to be good engines... A pinto will go in a fezza sideways.. Just make up a pair of simple engine mounts and mod the o/s chassis leg to clear the bottom pulley. A lad I know runs a pinto'd oval racer. There was a Mk2 XR2 on the bay last week which had been running a FWD cossie lump+RS turbo box. 140158257971

Burns Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 mine cost me 112.47 from the bay, with 6 months mot, and a months tax
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 The wife rang me this morning saying she could smell burning in her Ka when she was driving to work. I may tell her it's f**ked and she needs a mk1 Fezza...
beedz Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 plenty of bargains still out there, even on fleebay, but people are starting to ask for more as it's popularity is rising esp the sportier & rarer models - usual thing really. base models in crap to fair seem to be around the 2-300 mark now. mine cost 400 about a year ago (957hc, with 6xlaser 4 spokes, x-flow alloy rocker, alarm - in fairly reasonable nick 10months t&t + loads of old docs). similar one's seem to fetch around 600-700 now (i'm on the lookout for the mrs!) on the other end of the scale i've seen good & standard xr's going for over 4k now, when 12 months ago they would have been less than half that
johnny_h Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Both of mine came from the bay under 500 with a years ticket and they are both minters.
