roll cage problem can anyone help

i have a mk1 escort and i am looking for a full cage for it, mk2 escort full cages seem to be coming up more often for sale but doe they or will they fit?

No-mk2's wont fit a mk1.

I asked a simaler question ages ago m8 and from what i can remember I was told they were different, I think a mk1 cage will fit a mk2 but not the other way around due to roof heights if i remember correctly

Ive got a mk2 cage that I bought off Darren at Escort tec and Ive got a cage Ive built myself for a mk1 escort. Ive put them side by side and the only difference I can see is that the bends are in slightly different places but thats all, Ive taken piccies for you but have'nt had chance to up-load them yet, will try tonight mate

nice one guy's, im coz i have been getting to the point where i was just thinkin bout going and buyin one and seein wat happens, but now im not sure if it a good idea lol

but why not buy a new cage

The black one is the mk2 escort cage bought from Escort Tec and the un-painted one is the one I made as a sample to fit a mk1 escort, as you can see there is very little difference
