Im trying to get Tyres for the 10 x 15 wheels i should be getting off Al .

Now ive been told by Image and several others there is no tyre on the market to suit .

i was told a 235 x 60 would work but image say it way too small so what is it ?

Does anyone have a definitive answer and knows whos got some for a reasonable price ?

Or is it a hopeless cause. Rven the firms who said yes they could supply the right tyre backed out when i wanted to order.

Any ideas guys ?

road legeal rubber on this size rim is hard to get . Try Kumo tyres for wide 15 inch tyre sizes , falling that i used to run on michelin intermediate race rubber as very cheap and grippy . These look road legal as they have a proper tread pattern and i never ever got a pull on them even at mot time :D

Going by the size indicator the tyres would be the 295s !!!

Ill ring them tommorrow.

Thanks mate ! :D

Not sticky Toyos but that will do for me .... Ill check out some E tyres too whatever they are :?

The thing with buying from a tyre manufacturer / outlet is they have to go by the goverments guidelines and also car manufactures guidelines... if its a performance car these go out the window as handling comes to the front and noise/vibration/harshness, go to the bin.

If you look at racecars you will see that the tyres on +8" rims are 1/2 inch to an inch smaller than the rims, this stops the tyres moving under the rim, later more modern designs mean that the tyres sont have to be stretched as much as carcases are a lot stronger in the sidewalls

That 195 that Anglia 66 mentiond... thats almost 12" s going on a 10" rim, the back end will wobble sideways, especially as the sidewall will be 147mm high and will give you a tyre size of over 25" OA

It all depends on what you want to do with the car and what you will be driving on ...

Long motorway journeys .. 10" on a 10"

Motorways and A roads.... 9.5-10 on a 10"

Aand B roads. ................ 9.5 on a 10"

B roads and trackdays .... 9.0 0n a 10"

'70's hotrodder with ya ole General Grabbers .. a 12" tall sidewall tyre on a 10" rim (yeah i had some....and a light on the diff  )

I'm using 265x50x15s on my 10" wide Revolutions on the rear (225x50x15 on 8" wide fronts) and they're just right for profile and fit.

You should have plenty of choice for tyres as the fatboy Suzuki Vitara came with 15" x 10" wide wheels. Northhants tyre is a good place to start or if you want mail order, Blackcircles.com will do Cooper Cobras at £82.57 including VAT. Sorted!

I got 235/50/13's on the back and stretched low-profiles on the front of my 7x13's any idea where I'd get replacement tyres for the back? they're BFG's at the mo, but anything of a similar size will do!

Cheers!

(nothing wrong with jacked up cars and lights on the diffs!!) :D:D

As far as I know, the nearest you'll get to a 235 BFG is a 245 x 50 x 13 Mickey Thompson. Not readily available in the UK but anyone importing tyres (tires) from the States will get them for you as they're still a popular size over there.

If you look back to page one of this story you will see mr morley had 235/45/13 Kumho Ecsta's. These are still readily available from most good tyre places i.e blackcircles as previously sudgested.
