boXXer Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 need to fit a LSD to my car by the 2nd of november, and was wondering how hard they are to fit? do i need to take the old one out to see how many splines i have first? Whats the process for changing it over?

Toby Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 You can just pull a shaft to see what splines you have. Easy job. Probably 2-3 hrs the first time. Jack up rear end - remove wheels. Take rear brakes off Pull shafts - possibly need a slide hammer. Undo diff bolts, 12 or so. Put catch can under diff for oil. - its out. Put back in reverse order!!
