brafferton Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Is there a web page where I can cross ref ford part numbers. I have some jen ford parts, just need to know what model there for. Regards. Stuart
crapichris Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 from what I know the way to work out the model is like this; The first 2 digits are normally follwed by a dash and then some more numbers. These first 2 digits are the year the parts were released and near enough relate the the year the model was released. Example - if they start 69- then they are probably MK1 Capri if they start 74 they could be Capri MK2 It is a good way of spotting Laser wheels being sold as RS $ spokes but it is a bit hit 'n miss. The only sure way to find out is look around at the jumble sales and see if you can get a parts manual. I have a Ford parts catalog for a MK1 Capri.
Twinkle Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 might be worth asking at your ford dealer if they still have the part books or micro fiche

brafferton Posted October 26, 2007 Author Report Posted October 26, 2007 Hi there. 711M I know is a crossflow part. What model is 761F-6K776 Regards. Stuart.
bortaf Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 711M is a crossflow block not a part number as such, it's a casting ID along with the T number above it
