Help!!! The hearing aid has no lights !!!!

Driving to work this morning and i cant get my dipped beam to work

 

side lights work fine.... full beam works fine.... but no dipped

 

the bulbs look brand new and in perfect condition

 

 

 

can anyone sugest anything????

 

thing is im at work with no tools and when i drive home it will be dark so i really need this sorting....

they on a seperate fuse?

only problem is i dont know which fuse is the lights

 

i found the one for the full beam.... will it be the same fuse for the dipped aswell???

iv narrowed it down to the switch.... i did have the sterring colomb casing off the other day... might have knocked something

 

 

either that or ill justdrive on dipp beam

thats normaly the switch contacts. time for a new one unless your can get it apart

think it was something in the fuse board... took a few fuses out... put the same ones back in and they worked

 

i dont care what it was.... as long as they work

finger crossed it stays ok for now & just give it all a check over the weekend when there's some daylight hours available

it will be the terminals on the fuse box, i had the exact same thing happen on my mk5! just clean the conectors !

mine suffers from the moisture in the winter months, headlights come on fine but no rear lights which isnt to bad if you notice it before someone goes into the back of you #

 

i just take the stalk out and leave it on a radiator over night then spray a load of WD-40 in it before sticking it back in the car

If it's a cortina it'll be the fuses, take em out, clean the box first with brake/carb cleaner if you have it, then some emmery paper on the sprung contacts, get new fuses if you can they fall appart after a while

If the fuses are loose in the contacts bend em in a bit but try not to brake em

Make sure both covers are on it

if it still happens take out the box and clean the plug underneath and seal it to the bulkhead with some dum dum or seam sealer (non setting if you ever wanna get it back out again)
