What was the offer you had to end early?

The offer to end early was £450 but that is because the guy thought it was a ministox mini with all the cage on the outside of the car (contact sport) and they are worth much more than that. He withdrew his offer early on.

 

The doris has been in touch that has won the auction and wants to come on Sunday - she's paying £50 deposit by paypal that I asked for and has been quick to reply so hopefully they are genuine.

Be careful Jo. You can actually fake pay-pal payments. Log straight on now & transfer it into your account - It takes 7 days usually but can be faster. I would say though that the merest fact they aren't coming until next Sunday is a good sign

I'm not sure how they do it but I do know someone who sold his car on the bay for £5500. The buyer paid in full via paypal which was agreed & all looked 100% ok on his account. He clicked the 'Transfer money into his account' link the same day & all looked Rosy. The guys turned up next day to collect the car & took it away. 4 days later, he got an email from paypal saying the funds were not available & he wasn't covered. Just be careful

i nearly got caught out by a false paypal payment...if its showing the credit amount in your paypal account that means that it is genuine. BE WARNED...A E-MAIL SAYING YOU HAVE HAD FUNDS PAYED DOES NOT MEAN IT HAS...ALWAYS CHECK THE BALANCE TO BE SURE !!

Yeah, it's showing as in my paypal account and it's let me do the transfer so it's just a case of waiting for it to be transferred to my bank account.
