pelvins Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 ive started a welding course and been looking for a cheap welding plant . i was walking past some jumble and by chance something caught my eye and i spotted this i got it for £50 and its vertualy brand new and i even got a new gas bottle and regulator with it still in there packaging . looked on the net and its over £200 new well chuffed . have any of you ever had days like this ??

I've got an SIP Migmate and it welds a lot better than the Clarke I had. i read recently from another website that clarke welders of the same price range were surposed to be better quality ??

Nice find, very lucky I'd say thats rubbish about Clarke welders being better. I've got an SIP 190 & use BOC argoshield gas. Its brill and welds perfectly, I wouldn't be without it
