spooner Posted October 30, 2006 Author Report Posted October 30, 2006 thanks for that,got to build the wheels next,not looking forward to that one,can't find 1/24 wide rs wheels anywhere. the arches are sratch build from filler,going to build a full set of x packs in 1/24 th but having probs grtting a mk1 fes,mk2 rs 2000
atomic punk Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 I tried doing this years ago, one of my early attempts, the Xpack looked OK from a distance but was different on each side. Also had problems with the arches falling off lol. Painted it black and red-topped a BDA to look like a Cossie, used 5 spoke alloys from a 92 Corvette Think its in the attic....... I've got a 1/25th Chevrolet hatchback that includes arches that look similar to an X pack kit which is what I was going to use, can't think who built it or what model Chevy it is, one of the 70s hatches
simon_rs Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 you can buy a 1/24 mk1 fiesta its die cast and from spain ive seen 1 or 2 on ebay could try ebay spain aswell before i got into real cars i used to make and sell 1 off model kits i liked doing it but then i got a driving real 1s and aint got the time now lol simon
