RFChris Posted December 18, 2007 Author Report Posted December 18, 2007 chris... just no... please dont so £8k for the body.... if its just based on the chasse then there is a lot of work in that side to strip it down and get the kit to fit.. your looking around £1.5k prob closer to 2 you get back a full, rolling (and if you supply an engine, running) car.... then your have a v8 to find which your looking at £500 for a sluggish stock motor true, but at least it'll be an engine i know, plus if i send it in with the saphire then they'll fit it. paint.... £1k at the best interior asn you wont want the seirra interior.... £800 for a cheap it'll do type of thing unless, as stated, i have a relative in the states who has access to all sorts of wonderful things. those wheels will cost the earth at around £1200 a set.... true, but many nice setos fo wheels are expensive, just look at Image stuff then there is the imbarasment of when people find out its a jelly mould and people just laugh at you don't care, my name will be on the log book and it'll put a smile on my face. I don't care what anyone else things. Some people take the mick because i drive a Capri, but i'm no less ashamed to own one. it looks like eleanor... so people think that you bum the film and getting so common its uncool that one does, mine wouldn't, mine would just look like a stang. i mean... who the fook would do that to a real shelby you say you wont worry about leaving it in town if someone is stupid enought to to design it... and people are daft enought to build one.... then people are going to be stupid enought to think its real and try and steel it people will steal anything, but if it did get stolen i wouldn't be as upset as i would be had my real one gone walkies. and cos its got shitty jelly mould locks in it that will take them all of 2 minuits No, not Sier.ra locks. Mustang doors, not a lot better i know, but i'd probably have it de-locked. At the endof the day it's an aquired taste, but an opinion is never wrong as such my opinion is that it's foking cool. So ner! Whilst you could buy this for just short of £12 import and registration will be around £1.5K.... its steel... its a real mustang... it doesnt look like eleanor. It's also 40 years old, full on when it comes to maintainence, could be hiding a wealth of sins while having lived a rough life (and for 12k it might well have) and its fookin gorgeous and im trying to think of a good reason not to buy one for when im 21 So is the dimensionally perfect replica which is so accurate that it wears steel Mustang doors, bonnet and boot any less aesthetically pleasing? http://www.mustangclassifieds.com/mustang-2570.html
