Write a letter to the dvla explaining the circumstances and the cars info...they will contact the last reg owner...if he or she is unobtainable or does not want the car, you are then free to apply for the log book.. Whole thing took me about just under a month.

DAZZA Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Did this not so long ago, send a V62 from the post office, if its not contested it goes in your name. Found the local Police very helpful and they did some checks over the phone. Good luck
