Found a diy powder coating kit i might try

No experience of that kit, but I do know that the application of powder coating isn't as straight forward as the explanation makes out. I've had a few bits done professionally and had to take about 20% of it back to be redone. If an expert can have a 20% fail ratio what do you think your chances of getting the kind of result you hope for are?

That is shocking mate. I spend on average between £5k & £7k per month with my powder coater for all the truck parts we make and I never (I say never because I can't remember the last time there was a reject) have to reject anything.

I suspect he's just not very good at his job
