I snaped 2" of the end of a X/flow cam once  and she still ran with a 1" hole in the block and a rod poking thro

been on the internet searching, ive got a 244 cam with a hughly ported head so must have pocketed pistons, head is still on so i dont know the size of valves, valve guides are flush with port, new gaskets everywhere (apart from fuel pump, makes me think it was put on to sell by previous owner to sell to escort tec as a runner?) one day in the summer i was bored, tried my dhla 45s on it, (it came with a 38 dgas) thinking it would be over fuelled with dropout at low rpm, but hey, i was bored!!! :beer:it is a 1660! whilst changing the manifold, i saw the inlet ports :D instead of being boggy, it really came to life  lasted 8 mts!!!!! seems this state of tune crossflow is really stressing standard crank at 7500-8000, should change to steel, according to burtons tech guide, amongst others  so, i think i know why my crank snapped :D !!! not bad for a £150 engine from escort-tec  ps....anyone got any cheapish steele internals? seriously, i kill an engine a year, time to spend more money 0n a bottom end!!!! (im sure my zetec started tapping this week :banghead::bastard:)

no need for steel crank x/flow will buzz to 8000rpm on a daily basis. more like poorley ground and no radius put back in after grind so no strength at high revs

Yeah or thrown together with crap oil pump, bearings etc just to sell.

Agree 8K shouldn't have killed it in 5 minutes

Sorry read mts as Minutes and 8 as 5  But then you re-quoted 6 mths from 8. I am not helping with the confusion but nor are you!!:lol:

What were you looking for something about this size. I nicked your image out of photobucket (without knowing your password) and resized it to 320x240. Just stick the images in and resize them or stick them in and i will nick them and resize them. Bodyworks coming on well
