rodbasher Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Hi folks am starting to do front struts on the anglebox. MKII rs2000 struts ,welding coil over kit on but need to order springs .Any idea whats the best length and poundage cause i have no idea at all cheers all
Twinkle Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 what engine are you going to run m8? also what wheel and tyre combo?
Anglia68 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 The lengths not too critical because the ride height is adjustable and the poundage depends on what engine you're running and what you intend to use the car for. I've used 10.5" long,170lb springs on my Anglia but that's just a road car with a x-flow in it.
rodbasher Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Posted January 3, 2008 that was a costly question just knocked me gas bottle over on rear wing doah any way running xflow /2000e box and 185-60- 13
Anglia68 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Milton recommend 190lb springs with their struts but I've used 170lb ones on my old van(now belongs to ZetecVan2.0) and my new saloon and both drove great imho.
rodbasher Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Posted January 3, 2008 NICE MOTORS but were they running escort set up or miltons cortina
Anglia68 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 The van's running Milton Classic struts and my saloon is running Cortina struts I modified myself but that shouldn't make any difference to the length and poundage of the springs.
rodbasher Posted January 4, 2008 Author Report Posted January 4, 2008 thanks for that , better get ordering
