slimrs Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 just bought a mk2 capri with an xpack, but it needs some wheels. what widths can i go for or does it depend on the wheels, would like to go 10x15 but i cant seem to find any. any ideas?
kevmk2 Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 All depends on your budget really. To put 10's on may require some inner arch mods on the front,i know escorts require the kick panels cutting back to let the wheel turn full lock. Compomotive do a 8x15 in a one piece wheel. Revo's i think are now in production again and they do a 9x15,which would be an ideal size to go for with some 225.45.15" tyres or something like that or wider. And then theres split rims if you have the money
slimrs Posted January 7, 2008 Author Report Posted January 7, 2008 cheers kev, where can i get revos from, been looking online and cant find any that are 9+?
capriaddict Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 7.5 RS 4-spokes imho Oh and... of the capri
kevmk2 Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 West wales rally spares list them, give Gareth a call. They maybe grp4 fitting, mine are too,but he supplys the conversion nuts so they fit standard wheel studs. My wheels worked out about 60-70 cheaper than buying them from compomotive themselves due to Gareth buying in bulk. I know my mate was after revo's in july last year and Gareth said another country were going to start making them again,so worth giving Gareth a call to see if theres any updates
4parajon Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 I'm selling my x-pack rims (mirror polished with powder coated black inserts)with nearly new 205/60/13 tyres, full set of nuts, RS centre caps for £600 if your interested mate. Photobucket is offline as I type but will post some pics up if your interested. The wheels are no use to me now as Ive gone to 15's.

X-pack-Glyn Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Theres really only one wheel for a mk2 x pack...and thats the x pack ATS wheels. out of interest is this the genuine mk2 x pack in white, as theres only one in the country and it needs quite a lot of work, was found rusting next to a rotten 2.8i on a farm.

Whats the x-pack ATS wheel look like then?? He may mean Ronals, i've heard people calling the X-pack wheels ATS but i've never known ATS to have made the R/S four spoke or any other ford wheel. Only ATS wheel i've seen on fords is the silver three spoke thing as mentioned, nothing to do with the X-pack wheel, usually 7x13, popular on the continent but pretty rare over here. There is a video of an amber Capri with silver ATS's on U-tube somewhere.
3litrepete Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Ronal made the 7x13 but ATS made the 7 1/2x13. ATS is cast on the back of the wheel. Although I pictured the ATS marking when I sold mine, I had about 10 questions from buyers telling me I was wrong

Duke3s Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 ive seen a set of 6jx13 4 spokes made by ATS with a funny offset, apparently they are in the habbit of making copies of wheels from time to time, or so ive been told!
