need urgent help!!!!

to day i went to put my engine in my car and firstly i think the engine mounts are wrong not sure thow i brought them of ebay and it said 1600sport for xflow but the engine is sitting over a inch to far back bulkhead wise and the sump is sitting on the crossmember.

 

do these look right for a 1600 crossflow?

 

but i can hold the engine up on the hoist to the right place and all the mounts line up just the engine mounts are to short

 

any suggestions will be great thanks

im no expert , but they look right to me , only thing that dont look right is the thickness of the rubbers?, but hard to tell just from a pic? BTW they are handed L/H + R/H, couldnt tell ya of the top of me head which one goes on which side though......

longer one on drivers side i think but i tryed swapping them on to oppisite sides

i deffinaly think the rubbers look too thin? i can measure my mounts tomorrow if this will help u?

could my mounts be of a pinto as the block is wider on one of them and it would fit with them mounts then???????

shouldnt the rubbers have steel cups on them too??

oh one more thing the engine is out of a mk3 cortina its rear bowl sump but is it the same as a escort one or do i need to buy another sump?

i personally think there of a pinto from a granada or cortina??? dont take my word 4 it tho.

there 1500 pre-/ xflow whitch are narrower. try 1/8 washers between the block and mount

ok i measured the mounts today...

 

the length is 75mm and other is 85mm , this is the longest side of the mounts...

 

looking from the front of the car the 75 mm is on the right, and 85 on the left.

 

then u have to add 50 mm for the rubber mount...

thanks mate im going to order a new set of mounts as mine are for a pre crossflow and any chance of any pics of a crossflow sump in the engine bay i want to see who they sit over the crossmember cheers
